The Judean Hills is one of Israel’s “wine countries”, and with wide valleys, and endless vineyards, it’s easy to see why. Studded with archaeological and historical sites traversed by great biking roads, the Judean Hills sets the scene for a fantastic day of biking, finished off with a wine tasting in a local winery.
This fantastic half day program includes some easy riding on some great bike routes through the Judean Foothills. The length of the ride varies depending on your preferences but will usually be between 8 and 13 km ( 5-8 miles) suitable for all abilities, through the beautiful Adullam Park. As we ride through the tree canopied roads we may search to find all of the seven species that the land of Israel has been blessed with: “… land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey…” (Dut 8:8). Along our route we will come to and time permitting explore the ruins of the ancient cities Itri and Madras, dating back about 2000 years. Before returning our bikes we will make a stop at a local winery where you will be invited to taste the produce of the land through which we have ridden.
Spectacular night ride through back alleys, park pathways and the Old City. Asaf is an excellent guide. Don't miss this ride! Great bikes, equipment, helmets, lights, water, snacks. Class act, class operation, these young men are passionate about their business.
